8-Day Great Migration Safari – Fly-In/Out Experience

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

1. Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport.
2. Meet & greet by your driver-guide and transfer to your hotel/lodge.
3. Relax and enjoy a briefing on your upcoming safari.

Day 2: Fly to Northern Serengeti – Begin Great Migration Experience

1. Morning transfer to Arusha Airport for a scenic flight to the Northern Serengeti (Kogatende).
2. Upon arrival, game drive en route to your camp.
3. Afternoon game drive along the Mara River – potential to witness river crossings (Jul–Oct).

Day 3 & 4: Full Days in Northern Serengeti – Migration Viewing

1. Spend two full days exploring the Northern Serengeti.
2. Witness the Great Migration herds, predators in action, and diverse wildlife.
3. Optional activities: bush breakfasts, sundowners, or a hot air balloon safari (at extra cost).

Overnight: Heritage mara camp

Day 5: Fly to Central Serengeti – Big Cats & Classic Game Viewing

1. Morning game drive and transfer to airstrip for flight to Central Serengeti.
2. Afternoon game drive in the Seronera Valley, known for its abundance of big cats.
3. Explore kopjes, riverine landscapes, and open savannahs.

Overnight: Kubu Kubu Tented camp

Day 6: Full Day in Central Serengeti

1. Enjoy a full-day safari with picnic lunch or two half-day game drives.
2. Focus on resident wildlife and landscapes not always reached during migration season.

Day 7: Drive to Ngorongoro Crater – Game Drive En Route

1. Morning game drive en route to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
2. Optional visit to Olduvai Gorge or a Maasai boma along the way.
3. Arrive and relax at your lodge on the crater rim.

Overnight: Ngorongoro Serena Lodge

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater Safari – Fly Out

1. Early descent into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive.
2. Explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to the Big Five and a unique ecosystem.
3. After lunch, drive to Lake Manyara Airstrip for your flight back to Arusha.
4. Optional day room and dinner before airport transfer for your international flight.
