Day 1
Arrival in Arusha
You will be picked up from the airport at either Kilimanjaro International Airport, Arusha Airport or Namanga border by our company representative. They will drive you to your accommodation in Arusha about a 1-hour drive. Here you will stay and overnight at Ilboru Safari Lodge.
Day 2
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your safari guide will collect you from your accommodation and drive you to Tarangire National Park (approximately 2 hours away). Tarangire is best known for its elephant families, savannah, iconic baobab trees, seasonal swamps and the life-giving Tarangire River. Animals gather at the river and giraffe, bushbuck and hartebeest are often seen. The park is also home to buffalo, zebra and wildebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators such as lions, leopards and rarely cheetahs. From the open roof of the safari vehicle, you will be able to absorb the landscape and watch the wildlife while in the truck. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the park which includes a delicious lunch and soft drinks. After a full day in the park, you will drive to your accommodation where you will be able to relax, enjoy dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 3
Karatu to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you will pick a lunch box from your accommodation and continue to this epic safari destination which is Lake Manyara National Park. This is a relatively small but diverse park, 120km west of Arusha. The park’s namesake is a shallow salt lake. It covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons. It is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species. On your exploration of the park, you will see monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalos, elephants and with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for its diverse landscapes; not only open grassy plains but also primate-filled woodlands and baobab dotted cliffs. After a further game drive, you will drive straight to your accommodation in Karatu for dinner and your overnight stay at Eileen's Trees Inn.
Day 4
Karatu to Serengeti National Parkafter breakfast, your journey continues through the fertile highlands where the Iraqw people cultivate wheat, coffee, and corn. You'll pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering stunning views of the Ngorongoro Crater, before proceeding to Serengeti National Park with a picnic lunch en route. Arriving in the afternoon, Serengeti welcomes you with its vast landscapes—from grassy plains to savannahs and mountains. Enjoy an exhilarating game drive, then settle in for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Heritage Tented Camp or a similar comfortable accommodation.
Day 5
Full-Day in Serengeti National Park is dedicated to exploring the vast wonders of Serengeti National Park, where you'll immerse yourself in its endless plains and diverse wildlife. Witness a plethora of animals including impalas, buffaloes, crocodiles, and hippos, with the highlight being the spectacular migrations of zebras and wildebeest, which vary depending on seasonal rainfall. Keep an eye out for predators like leopards, cheetahs, and lions amidst the stunning landscapes. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be provided at Serengeti Heritage Tented Camp or a similar comfortable lodge.y 6

Journeying onwards to Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site formed millions of years ago, you'll arrive at the crater rim before lunch. Descend into the crater to encounter a dense concentration of wildlife, including wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and a variety of bird species. With luck, you may even glimpse the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch carried from your Serengeti accommodation and spend the afternoon exploring the crater's wonders. Later, head to your lodging in Karatu for dinner and overnight stay outside the crater.
Day 7
Karatu to Arusha following breakfast, you will depart from Karatu and journey back to Arusha for your onward travel plans, whether it's to Zanzibar or returning home. We will accommodate your preferences accordingly. If you are flying out on a KLM flight, a hot lunch will be provided, and we will ensure you are dropped off at the airport in good time. You'll also have the opportunity to shop for souvenirs and gratuities before concluding your safari adventure with us.
