Packing: Bring light hiking gear, sturdy shoes, and rain gear, as the weather can change quickly in the mountains. Don’t forget sunscreen, a hat, and a camera for the incredible views.

Altitude: Although the Usambara Mountains are not as high as Mount Kilimanjaro, they still reach altitudes of 1,800 meters (5,900 feet) and above. It’s important to stay hydrated and take things at a comfortable pace to avoid altitude sickness.
