Set off on foot towards one of the most secluded parts of the Tarangire National Park, accompanied by a trained and experienced field guide. Guides will expertly teach you how to recognize and follow various wildlife tracks.
After lunch, you will continue with the afternoon game drive until late afternoon. Then, you will exit the park and head to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2
Lake Manyara - Activities
After breakfast, you will leave the lodge and head to the park's entrance for a 28km drive (30 minutes). After completing legal formalities, your canoeing tour will begin. This activity will expose you to view the steep escarpment patched with evergreen forests and get you close to dozens of aquatic and bird species.
Next, you will proceed with a walking tour to the Manyara Treetop Walkway, which will take you on a sky-high adventure through the beautiful forest of Lake Manyara.
Walk among the treetops and experience untouched nature and wildlife from a unique perspective. These treetop platforms are perfect places to stop and enjoy life in the canopy amongst butterflies, monkeys, and birds.
You will enjoy your picnic lunch before the afternoon game drive until evening, when you exit the park and head to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3
Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, you will depart the lodge and head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It takes a 45-minute to 1-hour (43 km) drive to reach Ngorongoro's entrance. While your guide completes the legal registration at the authority offices, you will have almost 15 minutes to look around the area or use the washroom.
Your journey in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area will begin with a crater tour to explore the beauty of the crater and search for the Big 5 animals. Lunch will be served at the Engoitoktok picnic site (while viewing the hippo pool) before exiting the crater to proceed with your cultural tour.
