Day 1
Airport Pick Up and Transfer to Booked Lodge
Welcome to Uganda the pearl of Africa! On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our safari guide will be ready to pick you up and drive you to the booked accommodation in Entebbe and also brief you about Uganda. You will check into the lodge and take the rest of the day relaxing at the lodge from the long journey and prepare for the long safari.
Day 2
Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
There will be breakfast and then you'll embark on a transfer to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary— a successful conservation effort that was set to save the near-extinct rhino population in Uganda. Today, visitors to Uganda have a chance to encounter rhinos thanks to this effort. Once in Zziwa, you will proceed for an hour of on-foot rhino tracking. From the rhino tracking, you will head to Gulu City. After Joseph Kony's rebels were forced out of Northern Uganda, a giant was awakened. Gulu City is what we are talking about. Gulu is a bustling town/city in this once war-ravaged region. As you will witness, the beauty of life here plays from dawn to dusk —extending deep into the night. You'll get the sense of people who have moved past their pain and just want to enjoy life (the best they can). You'll enjoy your time and later stay overnight at the booked hotel.
Day 3
Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park and Evening Game Drive
You'll have breakfast and drive off to Kidepo Valley National Park. You'll arrive in time for some rest and lunch before going out for wildlife viewing. You will proceed for wildlife viewing in the Narus Valley in the south sector of Kidepo. Narus is the sector of Kidepo that has savannah grasslands mixed with acacia woodland. It is also the area of the park with permanent water sources throughout the year and for that matter, most of the animals are in this part of the park. Be on the lookout for large herds of buffaloes, elephants, zebras, antelope species, and the lions, the elusive leopards. You will return to the accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4
Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Cultural Experience
You'll enjoy your breakfast and then embark on a sunrise game drive/safari where you will have the opportunity to encounter wildlife including; lions, herds of buffalos, elephants, zebras, or the elusive leopard among others. You'll return to the lodge for lunch and afternoon relaxation. After a good rest, you'll move out for the Karamojong community, a cultural encounter where you will spend a wonderful afternoon (evening) with the Karamojong people and have an insight into their way of life and beliefs. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the booked accommodation.
Day 5
Full-Day in Kidepo Valley National Park
This morning, you will have breakfast and then move out to explore the African savannah on foot. Accompanied by an armed ranger-guide, you will venture along dry river beds, over rocky outcrops, and through bushland to track the resident wildlife. If you end up in Kidepo River Valley, a stroll on its wide bed of white sand or in the borassus palm forest which feels like an oasis in the Sahara, is a fascinating attraction. Later (afternoon session), you'll return to the Narus Valley for more African wildlife encounters. You'll return for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 6
Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
You will enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the lodge. Thereafter, you'll embark on a transfer to the Murchison Falls National Park. The highlights of this park include the roaring rapids of the Murchison Falls, and the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest national park where you will have the chance to see lions, leopards, giraffes, hartebeest, buffalos, and elephants. Then surely, the concentration of hippos and Nile crocodiles here will fascinate you. We hope to reach in time for check in and take the rest of the day relaxing at the lodge.
Day 7
Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise
You'll start your day with a warm cup of coffee/tea and meet your safari guide to take for the morning game drive in search of wildlife that is unique in African savannahs like solitary cape buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, Uganda kobs, bushbucks, sitatunga, lions, leopards and hyenas alongside a wide variety of bird species. Later, you'll return to the hotel for a full breakfast and relax until lunch.
In the afternoon, you will go for the adventure boat cruise on the river Nile at the bottom of thundering falls where you are given to view more wildlife like crocodiles, schools of hippos, waterbucks, birdlife like shoebill storks, and many more. You will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 8
Drive to the Top of the Falls, Transfer to the Edge of Kibale National Park
You will have breakfast and then drive to the top of the falls to truly appreciate the beauty and magnificence of the Murchison Falls. From the top, you will embark on a transfer that will see you stay overnight at the edge of Kibale Forest National Park. The drive is quite long but incredibly scenic —passing through villages, lush green countryside, and hills dotted with tea plantations that characterize this part of Uganda. The beautiful scenery will amaze you all the way. Upon arrival at the accommodation, you will check in and just relax.
Day 9
Bigodi Wetlands Excursion, Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

The Bigodi wetland boasts of an extensive array of biodiversity among which are several primate species like the black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, l'Hoest's monkeys, and baboons. The Bigodi is also a paradise for bird watchers. *Optional (extra cost 230$ pp): If interested, you can consider chimpanzee tracking (Kibale Forest) in place of the Bigodi wetlands excursion. Please, take note that the permit for chimp tracking needs to be secured before the actual date. From the Bigodi (or Kibale Forest), you'll embark (right away) on a transfer (about 2 hours) to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You'll return to the accommodation for some rest time and lunch. After lunch, you will go for a 2-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes George and Edward. During the trip, the sight of wildlife including giant hippos, elephants, and crocodiles among others will fascinate you. You will also see many varieties of birds on the water shores. *After the boat trip, you can decide either to return to the lodge to rest or first proceed for a brief late afternoon game drive. Thereafter, you'll return to the lodge.
Day 11
Transfer to Ishasha Sector and later to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You'll enjoy a relaxed breakfast and then travel to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park — famously known for tree-climbing lions frequently seen in the area. The chance of spotting these lions stands at about 60-70% but sometimes they are hard to spot (most especially when they are down in the grassland looking for prey). Should you get to spot them up in the tree, the sight is picturesque and memorable. From Ishasha, you'll embark on the final leg of your journey taking you to the accommodation situated right at the edge of Bwindi National Park. Once at the lodge, we can choose to just relax or (at extra cost) move out for the late afternoon-to-evening local community and cultural encounter. This involves cultural dances from the local people of the community and also participating in some activities e.g. traditional cooking, weaving, and others.
Day 12
Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You'll have breakfast and move to the Rangers’ post. You will receive some briefing (from a ranger guide) on the dos and don’ts during trekking. Thereafter, you will enter the Bwindi Forest for your adventure. The beauty of this rainforest is spectacular! The area offers a dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle but endangered giants is unforgettable.
Day 13
Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
You'll enjoy a relaxed breakfast and then, set off to Lake Mburo National Park. You will arrive and check in for some rest before heading out for a late afternoon-to-evening game drive that will bring us up close with the Mburo inhabitants. Finally, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. Optionally at an extra cost of 30$ pp, you may consider the night game drive to encounter nocturnal creatures which will be a rare sighting compared to the regular daytime sightings.
